# City

Add a `city` parameter to narrow down to city-level targeting.

For example, `cr.es;city.madrid,barcelona` means that a proxy from Madrid, Barcelona, and Spain will handle the query.

Here are a few examples of valid combinations of country and city parameters:

`cr.de;city.berlin`

`cr.br;city.salvador`

**Code example**

In this example, a query to gw\.dataimpulse.com is performed from an IP address from Berlin, Germany:

```
curl -x "http://login__cr.de;city.berlin:password@gw.dataimpulse.com:823" https://api.ipify.org/
```

We cannot guarantee the availability of proxies from a specific city at any given time. However, most popular cities are well covered.

{% hint style="info" %}
It's important to note that selecting a country is mandatory to specify city, state, ZIP code, and ASN targeting.
{% endhint %}

***

You can now exclude specific cities using the `nocity` parameter.

**Example:** To target Germany but exclude Berlin, use:

`cr.de;nocity.berlin`

{% hint style="info" %}
Traffic routed through the `nocity` parameter, as well as `city` parameter is billed at double the standard rate.
{% endhint %}
